Integer Investigator

This task is all about becoming an expert at adding and subtracting integers, which are those positive and negative numbers you see on a number line!

First, you need to look at the number line examples to understand how adding a positive number means moving right and adding a negative number (or subtracting a positive one) means moving left. Think of it like a game of jumps! 🐸

Your main job is to solve four tricky temperature problems. You’ll need to use your integer skills to figure out big temperature differences, like how much hotter Sydney is than a freezing cold place in Canada. You also need to work out new temperatures after things get much colder (like in Christchurch) or much warmer (like in Dunedin). Make sure your answers are correct, especially for the very cold mountain problem!

If you finish early and want to practice more, spend about 10 minutes tackling the ‘Integer Invader’ game to make sure you’re a true integer master! Your success will be showing that you can solve all four temperature questions correctly. Good luck!

🐎🌐 Country Music 🎼 🀠

Today at Team 5 in Point England School we were given a task requiring us to go into groups of three, with types of various jobs to work like the vocalist, dancer and beat person. I was the beat person and the people I teamed up with was Lesinali who was the dancer and Eziaz the vocalist. Our deadline was 15 minutes so we split each minute to do a different task. For 5 minutes we practised our chosen song ( Cotton Eyed Joe By Rednex )Β  then for 6 minutes we decided who does what then the last 4 minutes we were busting our dance moves in front of the camera ( it took us a few tries and overcame a few errors )

My friend Lesinali brought his Chromebook to record me and our group whilst Eziaz brought his Chromebook to show the lyrics as we were dancing to make things seem a bit perfect. My friend Sina had the job to download the our music video to us ( it took ages… ) and we finally did it!

Check Out Me And Friends Blogs Out.

The Echoes Of Fatafehi

Task Description: Today’s brief task of exploration we adventure into the deep journey of reading and creativity, as on Wednesday the 10th of September, 2025 or as in this case yesterday we did a lesson on using the power of AI, Gemini to generate a story from a prompt with the level of a Grade 7 or 8 and Twelve – Thirteen Years Old.

My prompt was: ” Can you generate me a Grade 7, Twelve – Thirteen year old level about Tonga and can you include any history’s within these years that include it’s part in world war 2 and 1 and it’s uprising culture”

The results was the ” Echoes of Fatafehi ” explaining a young girl named Sela who found her great – great uncle’s photo and her grandma explained how he fought in bother World War l and World War ll.

I recorded the story after it was made and it took about 4 or 7 times, but like I always say I don’t get things the first try so don’t ask! Anyways moving forward I finished and decided to do some editing and transitions to make the video podcast perfect like I always do!

Then I uploaded the story podcast and continued on to blog as I embedded the code to download on the blog which took some time.

That’s it for today, thanks for reviewing this podcast at least, please feel free to comment any feedback or some support thanks!

Year 7 & 8 Extension iMovie Project (Climbing A Tree)

Task Description: Today at Year 7 & 8 Extension, on Term 3, Wednesday the 10th of September, 2025 we got the privillage to use the high quality, high rated and expensive cameras to use as an operative in make our iMovie Project based on any type of topic or session. People desprately teamed up into groups spilting up into crowding groups scattering across the entire school. One group went to a rubbish bin, the other to the park, others followed on by the field, a group stayed behind at Te Kapua and the rest stayed at the Creative Space working on an entirely new topic comapared to the rest.

Me and Sebatian quickly grouped and rushed off to animate our iMove Stop Motion for one of our working projects. We marked our spot at a tree and disscussed how we were gonna make this movie, what tools to use and who’s doing what? We both agreed that I was going to act on Scene #1 the part in which I began jogging, then began climbing foot by foot and each tiny mark of a movement Sebatian took a photo one by one to make it look like a perfect quality stop motion iMovie.

But who said we got it done first try? Because we had to flim millions of times to make this movie perfect with good and high quality and rating for good advancement marks until finally we go the remarkable marks after fliming such a master piece of artwork.

Me and Sebatian rushed to Creative Space as quick as Flash followed by the whole class with the teacher infront then as the others got in me and Sebatian rushed by straight onto a random computer then went straight onto an iMac then onto iMovie we signed on. As we signed in Mrs Burton came by plugging in chips with the data of the photos people took of then as soon as she came to me and Sebatian she downloaded he data an me and Sebatian focused on editing the movie and organizing the sceneing.

A week later onto today, present I was alone and hopped onto an iMac after waiting for Jaxon to finish writing something and hopped straight onto the iMac edited my movie by adding in some background jazzy music with some transitions and word play animation give my movie the perfect touch and end.

Thanks for reviewing me iMovie Stop Motion Animation hope you learnt a thing or two and enjoyed watching the phase come through. Thanks for Watching!

Manaiakalani Reflection

Today at year 7 & 8 Extension we first formed a group with our friends and came up with creative ideas to put into our movie for Extension. Then Mrs Burton got ideas off Gemini then we were left with a Parody, Waking Up Story and the Story of someone who can’t speak English. After several votes we were left with Parody and we chose to recreate the song of Laufey.

And I got to be in the acting of the scene showing me waving to everyone too.

Definition: Extension

Today at 7 & 8 Extension we learnt how to compare, tell the meaning and how to put these three words in sentences: Satire, Mockery and Parody.

The meaning of Satire is the use of irony, exaggeration or ridicule to expose and criticise people’s stupidity or vices, particularly in the context of contemporary politics and other topical issues.

The meaning of Parody is an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect.

The meaning of Mockery is teasing and contemptuous language or behaviour directed to a particular person or thing.

KPMG Trip: Reflection View

Today was exquisite as about 27 of us students took a trip to KPMG a place full of Financial Literacy and Government Activity but still from my perspective of this adventure was enjoyable and interesting as the entire school tour group took surprise in the many things experienceable to this magical – like journey as there was also lots of yummy food s to enjoy such as chicken tenders, sweet potato fries, pasta salad, brownies, sausage rolls, fruit sticks, sushi, water and orange juice!

KPMG from my perspective has surprised and amazed me in many different ways possible with not only the food but the exploration in the office, being introduced to the new team challenges like Lego building and marshmallow towers but you can’t forget the poster making on explaining challenges in our neighbourhood and ways we could improve on it to help make our neighbourhood a better place that has a good, green, recyclable future ahead.

Thank you KPMG for teaching me and introducing me the many things possible in our guys work, how you find it, what you enjoy in it, how it helps the government and much more curious, interesting, amazing, surprising, things that I have experienced. Your teachings toward my experience was unforgettable, thank you KPMG for a life changing experience!
